Doomentor - The Second Ceremony album cover
Have you ever wandered into your deepest minds while sitting down your chair and listening to some heavy tunes? Or, have you ever been into a state there there is nothing at all, just you and music? Is there a band in your life-collection along whom you discover hidden messages with the bricks of this life? DOOMENTOR – a German Blackned Doom Metal band is one of those who will show you the true meaning of occult approach; as they noted within their words and their musical path they try to show the hidden meaning. Founded somewhen in 2011 they have released this lay in May, this year.

So, hitting my play button I instantly was transmitted into a medieval Romanian hostel, a walk away from Vlad the Impaler's castle, in a darkly molded room looking out through a window and seeing the rain cleansing the ground. In first minutes of "Maligne", I actually imagined a maiden being pulverized by the Dracula. This sentence may or may not explain song, the whole EP, but I tell you – that's it. There actually are not so many things I could note about this song -  already seen pattern, common theme and basic skills; my favorite part of this song was its outport – acoustic outre.

When a band explain themselves in words: "Black Occult Imperial Doom Metal from Hell" - what else you could except from them? I may be a bit skeptical about the trveness this German chaps are bringing, but I find this work too generic and so common and too ordinary. Behind the scene action may be their message, but I cannot speak off when there's not a clue of any form of life of this bandartist. "Nocturniae Monumentalis" second song out of two, is a better half in this relationship; again it starts as the first one, with an intro, an organs introduction that has almost none linking to the rest of the song (as in first lay, the intro part isn't connected to the rest; an utterly different tempo and the variation (like there are two songs and two instrumentals)). The second lay gives us some material we can joy within, yet again it's just matter of moment you'll fed up yourself and just quit. DOOMENTOR recalls me of some L'ORDRE DU TEMPLE work blended into SARGEIST's raw emotion and aggression.

Talking about sound quality I can add there are few things you could put up to higher level, but if you think that's enough for you, I'll keep my thoughts for myself. The whole pattern of this bandartist is based upon old-school Black Metal made in someone's garage and literally speaking about taboo issues.

Closing this with sad admission that I cannot force myself to find anything I haven't heard before and I must say I am quite disappointed; for being a big fan of Black Metal, Blackned subs – new things, diversity and something unseen I will lay down my expectation into oblivion and keep on seeking for new bandsalbums; but you should try them, it's up to you.
