Eldertale - Land Of Old album cover

Here we are at the first EP of the Ukrainian band "Eldertale", despite being an extremely concise work we see the precision that is portrayed in just three songs.

Mixing between the melodic, playful and folklore, as it has to be a band of melodic Folk Metal. To start listening to "Exile" we have a very delicate melody and simple, which is broken with the powerful throaty vocals of "Mr. Shapovalenko ", and always accompanied by a very melodic chorus, bringing the song quite interesting resonances.

In "Land Of Old", Josh's keyboard work is clearly at the forefront of their repertoire, which portrays the folk spirit that the band wants to send. Although considering well explored music and interesting vocal deliveries, there is a second serious side they could better exploit in the impeccable gutturals of Kirill Shapovalenko. The grand finale of the EP "Time Of Ancient" wraps things up on an epic note.

Despite being the first official work of "Eldertale" they clearly demonstrate what is to come. Unfortunately, the band suffered a fire at their place of rehearsal and lost expensive gear. If you believe in the band can help them by buying their work in digital format. To do this just visit the Bandcamp link available in this review.

It is their struggle admirably to stay active in the scene, even with all the tragedy and outrage.
