King Hitter - King Hitter album cover

KING HITTER is a Hard Rock band that coming straight from Philadelphia, USA. The band is playing oldschool American Thrash Metal not by the book with crazy solos and amazing Rock N Roll atmosphere. The band's debut EP been released this June

The band's titular song is a fast and great piece with some crazy guitar parts and a rip-roaring tempo. We can already hear what to expect from this band; they are not trying to recreate the 80's more so than they are a band that is trying to put out Thrash Metal on the next level with rhythms of Metalcore and guitars of Punk.
This style is keeping in the next song that called "Drone Again" which is angrier and faster. Also the lead single "Feel No Pain" that can be the biggest hit of this band until their debut album. My favorite song of this album is "Suicide (is the Retirement Plan)".  It's the heaviest song in the album which has a crazy riff that reminded me of ANTHRAX and fun lyrics, and it all comes together into one great chorus.

One thing that I really liked about this band is that they are truly original. I know that this sounds like a rather generic statement but it's not something that we are able to find every day. There are so many Thrash Metal bands that each one is doing something that has been done by EXODUS or SLAYER and it's really difficult to really find an 'original' band that focuses on the sources of the genre and doing something else. I'm not saying that they invented the wheel, but I do believe that the band have something unique going on.

In the bottom line, the band showed some really impressive potential with some really great songs that I personally really liked. I think that they could be a really big name in the Thrash scene in the future and we can't ignore that. Still, it's only a potential, it's not cohesive and it's not even near to a full album. However, I think that they have what it takes and in the next year or the one next we can expect for one crazy debut album.
