Well, where do I start... at the 80's.

Well, I didn't really live in the 80's. I was born in '84, so I was a kid. But the 80's Metal!
The time bands used to sing about war, about killing, drugs, hookers, Satan, antichrist, rebellion etc. etc... Then, the 90's came and brought with them Grunge music. And Heavy Metal went somewhat back to the underground. Somewhere along the way people started thinking it's a good idea to whine and cry and be sad instead of just rocking through life and they started singing about it. Somehow, this approach got to some people who liked the sound of Black Metal. Well I can't seem to understand that. Why would you record an album that sounds like black metal but put in it lyrics about your sadness and misfortune?

Well, let's talk about the album. I recently listened to a few albums from this genre. The thing I found is that I can't find the lyrics, even when the album was already released. But the description of the lyrics is: depression, misery, and isolation. My music player accidentally started playing last song first so I thought it's gonna be a Heavy Metal album. I fixed that and found loooooooonnnngggggg songs. The shortest is 10 minutes; the longest is 23:41. Not Heavy Metal but Depressive Black Metal. There are good parts actually, here and there, but I didn't have the time to go back and search for them in this hour and a half album.
Like all these albums, I guess if you are into weed and sadness, you can smoke, fall back on your bad and dive into the slow music. If you are into listening to some black metal that will make you wanna destroy civilization, kill, or just hope Satan was real, this is not the case.
Since this album is not all that bad, like the last one I heard of that genre and gave 5, this one is listenable and will get a 6.

I hope he won't commit suicide after this review.<
