Hard Rock act ICE ON MERCURY with their EP "Ice On Mercury" have released a less than meh set of songs. Maybe I'm a little hard on Hard Rock, it's a hard business to break into being so saturated with crap. But to be fair this classifies as crap.
These FALL OUT BOY/30 SECONDS TO MARS guys have released something far from special. No, it's not the fact that they do remind me of FALL OUT BOY because believe it or not, I don't mind some FALL OUT BOY. It's the fact that they sound so generic that I'm not interested in caring. Let's be honest, Rock is full of crap and that's because there are so many bands that don't want to make their own sound, they want to sound like someone else, which wouldn't be an issue is they added their own twist to it like some bands do, but ICE ON MERCURY really does not. Its generic and hollow.
If you like clone Rock, bands that sound like other bands and have nothing new to offer then hey, have I got the album for you. If you like bands to do something significant than move along, this is not the band you're looking for.
