Stapin Peste Stapini
Syn Ze Sase Tri

Right from grim darklands of Romania comes SYN ZE SASE TRI, to spread the myths of Transylvania, and have been active since 2007. Their music is written in a classic Symphonic Black Metal style trilogy, and is inspired by ancient Dacian legends. First part, "Intre Doua Lumii" was revealed in 2008, and the second part, titled "Sub Semnul Lupulu" in 2011. The final opus is called "Stapin Peste Stapini" and is going to see daylight on 27th February 2015.
So as you probably deduct from the words "Black metal" and Transylvania", the album is cold and grim, just like the intro, straight out from a castle dungeon. This atmosphere will accompany us through whole album. The band deftly mixed Folk/Pagan themes with choruses and keyboards and their ideas are nicely accomplished, thanks to intelligent songwriting.
It's easy to find bands that had influence in this album. Mainly DIMMU BORGIR. especially from "For All Tid" times and OLD MAN'S CHILD. The overall medieval theme reminds me of the SATYRICON's "Dark Medieval Times". The production is clean, like in most symphonic bands; of course they didn't rent the orchestra to make choruses, violins etc, but they invited many special guests ( members of TROOPER, BUCOVINA, ARGUS MEGERE, TIMISOARA OPERA, PROHOD).
The album was mixed and mastered in Studio73, in the Italian city of Ravenna. All lyrics are written in Romanian. To sum up, it's a good album, heavily stepped in classic Symphonic Black Metal. It's nothing new, but worth checking out regardless. I didn't heard their previous 2 albums, so I don't have the overview. Remember, it's a part of something bigger, so be sure to check out their back catelogue; it may tickle the fancy of fans of the genre.
