Aktor - Paranoia album cover

AKTOR's newest album "Paranoia" is one of the most interesting pieces of Psychedelic Rock this decade; this album is chucked full of memorable guitar riffs, huge choruses, great vocal work, and has the power to send you through time back to the 1970's. When listening to this album I feel a stir of influences from bands like BLACK SABBATH, RUSH, LED ZEPPELIN and occasionally even JIMI HENDRIX which on top of their own approach to Psychedelic/Prog Rock makes one heck of an intricate and unique album. Not to mention that this album has been very well produced, which adds that extra awesomeness needed to really make this album feel a complete mater class work of art.

There isn't one song on this album that left me feel disappointed; each song managed to catch my undivided attention at almost every turn, from the punky opening track "Devil and Doctor", to the very proggy "Where is Home" (which seems to always be stuck in my head when the album finishes!) and everything in between, some of the choruses on this album are absolutely fantastic with the use of harmonised lead guitar section that aren't so apparent in the verses, pushing to dynamics to their highest in the choruses. The band are at their highest with the higher paced songs like "Stop Fooling Around", "Six Silver Suns" and "Something Nasty", these are some of the best Psychedelic rock songs I've heard in years and I really feel this band deserves a lot more recognition than they deserve, so get heading to their website and order a copy, this album deserves a place in every heavy metal and rock fans album collection!
