Black Metal is a complicated genre for many ears to not like it, to hear something buzzy in it, or simply categorize it as "Cave Music". Aye, I must agree with them - not everyone can enjoy this subgenre, thought it hides an enormous potential in it. However, the band DRACONIS INFERNUM was able to release a fine, though somewhat lo-fi record for many ears to enjoy actually. Hailing all the way from Singapore, which is a rather unusual place for Metal to come from, those guys rock.

When I got this CD I was hoping that's not some kind of joke actually. The name really fooled me, as I thought this would be another unknown, teenage, rather sort of a disgusting, not-so-talented band.

I have to admit I was dead wrong. Those know how to do it, and they do it precisely. Uncommon methods of Mixing and mastering created a second-to-none tone of the music, uncompromised, Analogue-feel, yet without the traditional "mistakes of the mix". The music itself written well as well - and the lyrics will blow you to hell.

Those 37 minutes of unholy torment of sounds, creates an infinite storm of lyrics against religion, blasphemy and many other "goods" terms of the common Blackers.

The album also features two covers, and one instrumental song (which opens the album).

Summing up the album after few listening, I might also add - Asia might be a rising force of the Extreme Metal subgenres. I really enjoyed it and surely will keep it in my arsenal.
