We Walk Alone

If noisy old-school Hardcore, with touches of Rock & Roll, are your cup of tea, you will be in for a real treat with SCANDINAVIAN HATELAND. This Rock-Core band is a 6 piece, which hails from Orebro, Sweden. The band was conceived in 2010, and has released the album "We Walk Alone", twice. The first time in 2013, and now with a re-release, which features new vocalist, Fredrik Larsson. This album features everything you would expect from a 90's era Hardcore band, from the agonizing yelps, old school breakdowns, and gang vocals. The opening track "Haters", kicks off with a typical Hardcore drum groove and riff before plunging into a syncopated bit of harmonized chording on guitars. This song is undeniably well written. The band features three guitarists, which are all made use of throughout this track, and many others on this album. Songs such as "We Walk Alone", "Vaccum", and "The Reason", are filled to the brim with chunky, driving riffs, and group chants that just might have you shouting choruses right along with the band. The drums and bass are tight and punchy, with a razor sharp precision, which is enhanced by the overall production being squeaky clean, yet raw and in your face. The band really brings nothing original to the table, but the songs are well structured, well recorded, and hooky enough to work their way into you brain.
SCANDINAVIAN HATELAND may not be for the masses, but for the folks who like Hardcore in the vein of MADBALL, with more elements of traditional rock throughout, this might be for you.<
