Deceptic - The Artifact album cover

Hailing from the mighty city of Göteborg, here is DECEPTIC a band that play a special brand of Swedish Modern Melodic Progressive Metal with lot of MetalCore twists and a few Thrashy and Groovy Metal overtones...You'll name their influences better than me I suppose!

It's one new addion to the club that reunite the perfect evolution of the late 90's MeloDeath with bands such as SCAR SYMMETRY / THE UNGUIDED / AVATAR / ENGEL MISERATION / EMOTIONAL / GRANDEXIT or DEALS DEATH with to each acts its own specificities! Anyway, surprisingly their sound is fresh, very catchy, and even a little bit astonishing, of course nothing new or revolutionary, but the songwriting's top quality itself contains something energizing and stimulating, "The Artifact" is a really pleasant and refined album in this overcrowded scene!

As always with those skilled Swedish bands, the performances are perfect and flawless, the sonic side is also pretty much in the high end category with the implication of knobs master Tue Madsen (ENGEL / MNEMIC / THE HAUNTED / THREAT SIGNAL ) in the final stages of mixing and mastering operations . The highlighted melodic hooks are in great concordance with the current hype, it leads to improve the different ingredients tagged in this genre like heady rhythm, sharp riffs, and numerous breakdows, a revelantly alternance of vocals with pertinence and subtlety: a recommended slab of agression improved by some smart structures and a great level of technical musicianship!
