According to Facebook there are three anonymous members, even though they tour, the band maintains their anonymity
Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada is Black Metal band THANTIFAXATH with their newest release "Sacred White Noise", I find this band very intriguing...solely just on themselves keeping Anonymous? I find that odd, yet cool, is it because they are in another band and have contract disputes? Do they not want to upset their parents? Are they upstanding professionals i.e. doctors, lawyers or clerics, possibly? Maybe they don't like the spotlight? Who knows and honestly, who cares. Let the music speak for itself!!
The opening track "The Bright White Nothing at the End of the Tunnel" starts off very dark and ominous and then here comes the hammer. The next track "Where I end and the Hemlock Begins", is the same way...dark and brooding with a semi-melodic type intro and then the destruction begins.
Track three, "Gasping in the Darkness" is probably my favourite song on the album. I feel it has a LAMB OF GOD vibe to it and it's catchy. "Eternally Falling" is a slow, Goth type sound with some BLACK SABBATH undertones.
"Panic Becomes Despair" is another just, good, all-around song. "Lost in Static between the World's has a whole gamut to offer, being that it is a long ass song. Hard, fast, screams, speed and angst...yet the swirling sounds towards the end are very calming and peaceful, hmm?
THANTIFAXATH'S new six track album "Sacred White Noise" is worth the listen if you dig Black Metal. I feel they have good diversity and get their point across. Yes, there is only six tracks but they range in time from over 5 minutes to 11+. So you end up getting your money's worth in that aspect.
