American band OBSEQUIAE formed in 2007 have just released their first full album entitled "Suspended In The Brumes Of Eos", with a style defined by themselves as Melodic Dark Metal, Folk Metal and Medieval Themes, whatever it is really, I can say that it is good music, made by very creative musicians with a soul.
As far as music influences go, I could mention a long list of bands like: AMORPHIS, MERCILESS, SOLSTICE, AT THE GATES, OMEN, DIVINE EVE, MANILLA ROAD, SAMAEL, GOREMENT, AGATUS, PAGAN ALTAR, ROTTING CHRIST, oh man and many more, when the "Arrows" reach your heart and you find yourself lying on "The Altar Of Moss" only then you realise that you are "Suspended In The Brumes Of Eos",
Technically is very good, great riffs, deep and guttural vocals, aggressively with a mellow touch and kind of sad at times, great music to my ears. I could write hundreds of lines going deep into details, trying to explain something that is hard to explain, instead just have a listen and let yourself go into this epic medieval dark voyage, but beware because perhaps there will be no return.
