Septicflesh - Titan album cover

Death metal, lots of orchestration, many melodies, harsh and clean vocals, all of that sounds really good, and believe me it is, but I still must admit I have some reservations of this release, especially in what attaches me to the composition and the complexion of the musicality. That may be because I'm such an ignorant, but I am too a great fan, and experience gives me some hints to say something about.

The sound it's really violent, full of melody, but violent, THE CITY OF PRAGUE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA does such a great job, as they are used to, the perfection between the alteration of harsh and clean vocals is something to enjoy along the tracks as they keep rolling, and standing behind the "brutal" adjective, this release is very technical full of extreme rhythm changes, a real dark atmosphere, and so fucking good percussion, really taking "extreme" to a high level.

Where comes the bad: well at some moments the songs become so full of technic and talent, that seems a bunch of ideas put together alike, not worrying how it sounds in complex, but as individual moments, and for individuals who are amazing without shadow of a doubt, but altogether it's hard to understand. Other bands do the same, but at the end you could fully appreciate a complete piece. Here at moments you could get lost, without any proper structure or purpose other than simply listen to, no questions asked.

SEPTICFLESH are one those kinds of bands that inspired a movement, Extreme Metal was consider after hearing them (among other), basically an evolution of the Metal itself, this is not a step back, but sure is not a step forward. Amazed or not, this is a good release, although the world is becoming full of this kind of albums, sometimes structure makes a good way through the talent, a little root to remember.
