The Doom Metal community are certainly in for a treat; hailing from Illinois BLACKWATER have released their self-titled debut album and it will make BLACK SABBATH legend Ozzy Osbourne bow down before them.

The album opens up with "Final Solution" with its thick sounding guitar riffs and slow tempo; what you'd expect from a Doom Metal band. Doom Metal legends BLACK SABBATH come to mind when the vocals from Mitchell Barnes are heard.

There is a collection of iconic riffs and solos throughout the rest of the album that I am sure will become air guitar classics at festivals, gigs or even in your own living room rocking out. A great example of this solid guitar work can be heard on the track "Bone Crusher", alongside this there are some genuinely brilliant Heavy Metal tracks that will make history one day.

Ending with an epic cover of JUDAS PRIEST song "Deceiver" shows me that BLACKWATER can potentially be the new BLACK SABBATH; a new legend within Heavy Metal.
