Primeval Realm - Primordial Light album cover

Formed in 2009 PRIMEVAL REALM is the brainchild of Joe Potash, the band's mainman who wanted a band where he was the sole guitar player. PRIMEVAL REALM released three demos as a one-man project, with Potash playing all the instruments, until 2013 when new members joined the band and soon after they recorded their first album: "Primordial Light".

PRIMEVAL REALM is pure Doom Metal and, just like their promo sheet tells us, their sound is a homage to the greats TROUBLE, CANDLEMASS, SAINT VITUS / THE OBSESSED and SOLITUDE AETURNUS, and you can probably squeeze BLACK SABBATH in there as well. The songs alternate between groovy riffs reminiscent of Tony Iommi to melancholic epic passages helped by the presence of keyboards.

With lyrical themes ranging from vampires and werewolves to philosophical questions of life and the suffering of the soul, "Primordial Light" is a perfect album for all the lovers of Doom Metal out there.
