SALVACION are a Heavy Metal band from North Carolina, USA formed in 2009 by drummer Carlos Denogean and guitarist Nicholas Sponsel, releasing their debut album in 2010 and the follow up a year later. 2014 sees the release of their third album album "God, Gold & Glory", a concept album inspired by Hernan Cortes and the conquest of Mexico.

Opening the album is the bombastic Power Metal of "Fortune", displaying a sound not too dissimilar to the likes of legendary bands RUNNING WILD, SCANNER and HELLOWEEN. "Obsidian Knife" gallops in and races through to a conclusion with some great guitar work while "Stroke Of Luck" is a thunderous slab of solid Hard Rock.

"Gambler's Throw" is a guitar driven foot stomping JUDAS PRIEST style song and upping the tempo is the epic Speed Metal "Satan Shame And Steel" with some awesome screaming guitar solos and a fine vocal performance. "Savage Reprisal" is a mid tempo very heavy chugging Hard Rock song and the album closes with the thunderous "Way More Unstoppable".

Overall, a good album of Power and Speed Metal, some great guitar work and a fine vocal performance.
