LOVE CREAM is Hard Rock band from Adelaide, Australia formed in 2011. Their debut full-length album "First Taste" was recently released.
From the first sounds of "Open for Business" I felt connected to the music of these guys, finding a crispy classic Hard Rock vibe and high flying vocals al'a THE DARKNESS, but even better. Great choir assembly, huge soloing and melodic Rock 'N' Roll filling the riffs of the Glamish "Back Door Lover", inspiring with a fine catchy chorus that is quite memorable. I caught the same vibe out of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" haling with a beguiling chorus. "Woman (I'm Gay for Your Lovin')" itching with Blues with an harmonica and then crossing to a LED ZEPELLIN climate with great bass, rocking riffs and an overall interesting atmosphere, similar to URIAH HEEP as well. "Hot In The Dark", sends a chill in comparison to its title, sails as a sort of Pop / Rock routine with features that might be noticeable on the works of MAROON 5 or James Blunt. On "Spend the Night Together" there is a turn up when it comes to the riffs, crossing with AC/DC and lots of generated fun out of it. Worth to listen are: energetic "Love Train" with guitar solo that felt SATRIANI, ballad singing in the calmer "Sweet May" that has a little BEATLES vibe, Rock N' Roll clinic of "Why Not Me?" and coming around with more AC/DC with "Smokin' Bitch".
LOVE CREAM recorded a very good album, full of dynamics. The production is very clear, and it is nice to listen. The album is full of emotions and melodies while also that the band's youthful sense didn't affect their music into being raw. I'm sure that everyone who admires Hard Rock, Rock 'n' Roll, Blues and catchy melodies will enjoy this CD.
