Nachzehrer (Reissue)
Satanic Warmaster

Black Metal, probably the most introverted genre of Metal music features a lot of one man projects, from the BURZUM styled raw / ambient Black Metal to the experimental underground side of the genre. SATANIC WARMASTER is by no doubt one of the best and a leading role in the Finnish underground alongside monsters like BAPTISM, BEHEXEN etc...
Werwolf is known for the multitude of varied releases which always sound a little different than each other in terms of musical approach and production, and "Nachzehrer", the coldest release in the archive and my favorite SATANIC WARMASTER release happens to have a re-release.
Sadly, as a re-release there isn't much to be said, since in a genre like Black Metal there isn't much change to be noticed, it's always the same grim music with rarely any change (in respect to the Black Metal spirit which is meant to remain this way). However, that does not stop "Nachzehrer" from remaining one of the best releases from Werwolf.
The album features the iconic and frost-driven "One Shining Star", the ambient drug "Utug-Hul", and several songs that are solely meant for strict fans of true Black Metal/Ambient music. The production here is raw at best, not loud nor done too quiet, just chilled down enough to be consider a slightly Atmospheric yet evil release.
Grab your copies of "Nachzehrer", it's a release highly recommended for fans of the Underground and a collectable gem for fans of the Finnish Black Metal scene.
