CEMETERY DANCE from Athens, Greece, is a band that mixes late 80s / early 90s Punk and Metal to form quite a varied sound. The band formed in 2012 and this album shows off their hard-rocking sound quite well.

"Fixed Imagination" kicks things off with an almost Thrash Metal guitar riff, over which the lead vocal goes between a Hard Rock vocals and a pseudo Death Metal one. This song goes from Heavy Metal to clean guitars with ease, mixing a lot of softer and heavier moments in mere moments. It works quite well actually, but some may be turned off by that sort of thing, as it is rather unexpected. Overall, a very well performed song though.

The band has the ability to mix various genres, from the punk styling of "Trail Of Life" to metal infested "Outspoken", and this works quite well, showing the band is capable of a very diverse song, but at the same time the band is capable of holding its own style together, particularly in the chorus where the lead vocal tends to shine.

The standout tracks are probably "Part Of My Legacy" and the title track "Poser Zombies". The first with its snaking initial riff, and groove infested playing throughout, making it one to bang your head too with its kind of Southern Rock tinge to it. The latter is great for its attitude, heads-down rocking main riff, and tight playing.

The production is alright, not the best but it is good enough that you can hear everything that's going on throughout the songs, and it is fairly heavy too, it's just not as crystal clear as some might like, however that may well be what the band was going for anyway.

Overall, this is a good album, with plenty of attitude and great playing throughout, but at times the structuring might seem a bit "out-there" for the average listener. It's not bad for it at all, if they were aiming at a more progressive approach, but a bit more songwriting focus may serve them well in the future.
