The Finns REDEYE had always defined themselves from 2006 as a Grindcore soup where they released several Demo's including the new "Violence" an EP which consists of four aggressive pieces that reeks death and violence released by Violent Journey Records.

The goal behind this work appeared to be mixing SLAYER's music to NAPALM DEATH... Yes, the influences are evident from these figures, that's what the band clearly admit but I call that imitation since you can't feel any originality of REDEYE in any of their songs. There are certainly Thrash elements in the album and even more strongly to reach the Grindcore level, but it still very far from what they want to achieve, after all I do not even know if it's feasible. But what I can admit is that they make a pretty valiant effort.

The bad beats within these four pieces are the quickie that has been in production. Okay it's an EP, but this does not mean that the production should be so modest... Some examples to prove what I say is the introduction to drum solo on the second track EP "Visions Of Violence" all sounds very empty.

The "Violence" EP is accompanied by an artwork which refers to more Core situations and four pieces that you arouse interest but I "cut open" the appetite because of the fatigue caused by the production. Personally I expect a complete job from Finns, with a more meticulous sound.
