Putrefact - Those Were Of Deceased album cover

Mexican Death Metal band PUTREFACT released its first EP entitled "Those Were Of Deceased". The project started in July 2012 date of the first true rehearsal. The band has already in the account a demo called "I Shall Die Upon This Putrefaction", and seems to have the right components for a Death Metal out of the expected.

The EP begins with the song "We Were Deceased" with a riff coming out of the late 80's, the time when Death Metal saw his true birth. This first part of the song was in a dark attitude before giving way to a faster tempo confirmed with a great blast beats and an unhealthier atmosphere. Growls were mixed with a high dose of echo, for a result that gives the impression that the singer is in a very distant place. This first passage reminds me of CARCASS, one of the pioneers of this genre, especially with the singer's voice and the rawness of the production. The second and closing song in this EP is called "II". The trio has lowered the tempo with a very present bass guitar. The sections are more direct using in advance more grooves and scarier atmospheres. This piece ends with an outro marked with malicious melody guaranteed with some more sad and dark effects.

We have to wait for the first full length album to better evolve the level of PUTREFACT. But this first EP gives a good impression on the potential of these Mexican metallers.
