The German Pagan Black Metal Band CREATURE has just released its new album entitled "Helioskron". The band is known in the undergrounds of the local scene; it already has four albums and plays dark music since 1997. So I think we're in a group, which has enough experience to impress not only the fans, but also those who come to discover.

The show begins with "Nadir", an atmospheric intro before giving way to the true face of this group with blast beats that appears very quickly. "Aurora" comes with a wave of very melodic and emotionally significant riffs. I confess that I enjoyed the first few minutes, which gave me intention to continue this black journey. One point to make is that the production is very well done. Usually for Black Metal bands, we are faced with a very raw sound but here it is the opposite. The following tracks guide me towards darker and melancholic songs like "Genesis" and "Mein Labyrinth". These pieces are experimental and relatively long for a similar style, in fact the band does not hesitate to write songs with 7 minutes of average length, with progressive and thematic arrangements, a point which can be special for some fans. The alternation with mid-tempos brings attitudes of Doom Metal with several clean passages. The lyrics are sung in German, which adds more mysteries. The end of this album is provided by "Zwischenspiel" and "Zenit", two tracks that confirms the violence and darkness, but also confirms that the group does not play a normal Black Metal, on the contrary their sound is very original.

CREATURE is a band that may have a place among the greats in the Black Metal scene, for that I suggest you to run and buy this wonderful album.
