Lost Breed - Save Yourself (Reissue) album cover

LOST BREED is an American band formed in 1987 and released two records back in the 90's and that are now being re-released through Shadow Kingdom Records. LOST BREED plays Doom Metal in the veins of SAINT VITUS and THE OBSESSED, which is not a big surprise since Wino Weinrich, lead vocalist in those two bands, also played in LOST BREED's first demo.

"Save Yourself" is a more Hard Rock Bluesy inclined record than their previous effort, but not matter which one you pick to give a listen to you will get a sense of what this band is all about: down tuned songs that bounce around between up-tempo groove and old school sound. The band's strength lies on their riffs that are, for most part, a pretty good mix of crushing Doom mixed with a hint of MOTÖRHEAD here and there with some grunge influences as well.

Although not necessarily all that remarkable or exceptional, both records are pretty good and recommended for fans of Doom Metal and Grunge.
