Interitum
Anima Sementis

Following their first demo and their debut studio album, "Interitum" is the comeback release of Bavarian Metallers ANIMA SEMENTIS, coming after over 5 years. However, while one must be expecting a proper full length album after this long while, it turned out to be a merely 15 minute EP consisting of only 3 tracks.
While this may seem too short, it only contributed to the great flow of the EP, along with the solid songwriting that the band showcased in this release. ANIMA SEMENTIS perfectly fuse Symphonic Black Metal with a touch of Death Metal, creating an epic, ravishing sound, yet still too heavy and even a bit saturated sometimes, yet not to the point that it won't leave a room for your ears to breath. "World Dominion Collapse" kicks off the EP with its vehement guitar-driven sound topped with Marco Politi's flawless and versatile vocals. The atmosphere is huge, yet it doesn't feel synthetic or superfluous. It's even more displayed in the second track named "Ruins" in which we hear a more keyboard-driven sound and an even bigger atmosphere with subtle oriental touch. "Masquerade Of Grace" is somewhat darker and even heavier but still capture all the elements of the previous tracks.
This is indeed a very promising release. Those mere fifteen minutes are totally worthwhile.
