Sorcery - Legacy Of Blood album cover

In front of the Swedish Death Metal scene, all what you can do is to force your ears to get on their knees, because this land is the promised land of death metal music, and every single record from there is solid as a rod of steel, and here is the Death Metal act SORCERY that hails from Gavle is representing the compilation album "Legacy Of Blood", for those who respect the Swedish art of death metal seduction.

"Legacy of Blood" is a compilation album that has been released by Xtreem Music, the label that has always been supporting the true sound of the old school death metal. This record contains a re-release of the full-length album "Bloodchlling Tales" that has been released in 1991 by Underground Records, and the tracks of the 7-inch EP album "Rivers of the Dead" that has been released in 1990 by Thrash Records, which means that this golden compilation is a classic piece of art that will be capturing a very special space on your dust-covered library. Most of the Death Metal fans who're searching for the real decayed sound of the old school Death Metal patterns will find a full satisfaction when they get this record, because the band is giving you the chance to go back in time and rediscover the old sound of SORCERY and how much the new sound is influenced by this ancient sound that has been produced before about 20 years.

Colliding the heaviness of the experience and the old school sound, the record presents an ancient-raw Death Metal charm with noise and dirt on its spells, with the crashing sound of the distortion and the mid-paced and headbanging drumming around the sound of the down-tuned guitars, the sound of the 90s that you love to smell from the classic bands such as the mighty ASHPHYX and the rotten releases of the band DISMEMBER is available in this record, and this smell must embrace your eardrums immediately. The strength of the drumming elements and the stiffness of the performance will crash your balls, and the monstrous vocals inside the hall of the riffs will stream outside the air of your speakers with an antique spirit. Though there are a lot of old school Death Metal bands around the world, but somehow the Swedish bands are always special in this style, so I am glad that SORCERY is representing these classic tracks, and I hope this release will be a perfect lesson for the nowadays band that try to possess the sound of the 90s Death Metal era.

The production is rough, and it has the ancient sound that we all want, if you're a fan of the old school Death Metal bands GRAVE, AUTOPSY, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, then this record is recommended for you (if you already don't have it). Overall, the Swedish smell of the decayed flesh of old school Death Metal is prevailing over the riffs of this record, so feel free to sniff these rough drumming and guitar patterns, every single track here have been created to pull you out from your reality and insert you into the world of the Swedish Death Metal graveyard, So all what you can do there is headbanging.
