Crown Of Phantoms

The legends behind the Metalcore nuclear bomb "Resurrection" are back to astonish us... or wait, I think I meant to say legend. Yeah, the only member I recognize here is the vocalist, every single member is a stranger to me, but what the hell, CHIMAIRA is CHIMAIRA, and the essence of this record will never change, and one main example for that is how good it is.
While this is a solid Metalcore effort, one thing astonishes me, it's that no song manages to stand out, rather making the album a good one song release spanning several minutes. Still, CHIMAIRA fans will find this very entertaining, especially considering Mark Hunter's vocals are still as fresh and strong as ever.
Unlike previous records, keyboards are very dominantly catchy and a main part in this "Crown Of Phantoms" overall taste, and the new drummer as definitely as sharp and professional as the past Andols Herrick.
Now the final decision is up to you mostly. I liked this release, but fans may disagree, but remember, a dragon may not always breathe as furiously as you'd expect to with age.
