The Devil's Cut

WHITE WIZZARD is one of my favorite new bands and I always believed they could have achieved many things if not for the whole soap opera surrounding them with the never-ending changes in line-up, especially in the vocals department. A total of four singers have passed through WHITE WIZZARD, not to mention the constant in and out of singer Wyatt Anderson, that didn't seem to make up his mind if he wanted to make the necessary sacrifices required to be a full-time musician, but apparently now he is gone for good and in his place comes Joseph Michael, what can be said about him? He fucking kicks ass, although not reaching the same high notes as the "Screaming Demon", I actually think he is a much better singer as he can sing with great charisma and emotion, I sure hope he stays in the band.
"The Devil's Cut" is WHITE WIZZARD's third album and follows in the footsteps of "Flying Tigers", featuring the classic 70s/early 80s Metal sound they are famous for, it is amazing the quality of musicianship that Jon Leon always manages to find, myself as a guitar admirer can honestly say my jaw dropped at the beautiful solos on this album that become more noticeable as they are not drowned by the bass. I have only one complain about this record, and it was the reason why it didn't receive a rating of 10, and that is the lyrics that are really simple and that take out the epic feeling of the songs.
