Resilience
Diluvian

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any information about this band online. So, we will have to let the music do the talking. "Resilience" has five songs, and "Opaline" is first. It's characterized by heavy, Djent riffs that start and stop on a dime, and harsh vocals that rage. In keeping consistent with the style however, clean vocals wash away the filth that runs deep. The cleans are quite melodic and catchy. You have an immediate sense of the band's strong musicianship as well. They toy with the riffs as if they were alchemists creating something from nothing. "Nightmoods" features a member of NOVELISTS on guitar, and it's a perfect match due to the similarity of sounds that they bands share. This one goes deep with the harsh tones, drilling down as far as possible, and it's also a ball of fiery energy. The clean tones help to temper some of the aggression, but it's like a mold that once it starts to grow can't be tackled.
"Supernova" shines brightly with melody that is dashed equally as fast by raging, punishing tones in the guitars and vocals. The gentler passages are quite gorgeous, and they showcase the warmer side of the band, or their resilience if you will. "Labyrinth" is the official video that was released ahead of the album, and it begins with more bright, clean tones. The clean vocals act like a hearty soap that leaves you clean and refreshed, while the harsher tones bring back the filth. Emotions run deep here, and that goes for all kinds. "Phantom" closes the album, and back comes the fiery rage once again. The vocals are cadenced, and once they hit that magical groove, they ride it out like a surfer on a big wave. The breakdown is sludgy and filthy, yet the clean tones rise above the madness.
This was an excellent album. In addition to the unbridled rage that is present, and their ability to climb the ladder to reach those heights, it also has a sophisticated sense of melody and clean tones that you can sing along with. It's well-constructed, and a ton of fun to listen to.
