Reckless

Chez Kane

It’s no surprise that the best part of the album is the vocals. She has a warm voice that invites you in for a bite, and she has near perfect pitch. She delivers with fire, with passion, and with confidence. Unlike some AOR music however, the music has energy and life, fueled by both key changes that keep you on your toes as well as a deep desire for music with style and substance.

From her record label's website, "British rocker Chez Kane is thrilled to announce the release of her new studio album, titled "Reckless," out on March 27, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl. Chez said: "Finally, I can tell you! The official announcement of my third album "Reckless" is here. My last album, "Powerzone" dropped in 2022, and I've grown a lot since then. This time around, I got hands-on and collaborated on some writing. I pushed myself hard to make something that's bigger, bolder, and yeah…sexy as hell." The chemistry between Chez and Danny continues to shine, resulting in a record that blends 80s-inspired anthems, infectious hooks, and soaring vocals into a modern rock statement with attitude. From glam-infused bangers to emotional slow-burners, "Reckless" showcases Chez's growing confidence and undeniable charisma, proving she's not just riding the revival wave, she's leading it."

The title track leads us off. It's got a full guitar sound with backing keys, and the bass work is excellent…it helps to give the song a heavy, rocking edge. The vocals are also excellent, done in big harmonies at times, and a sexy saxophone caps off the sound. "Night of Passion" is a mid-tempo, sultry rocker heavy with keyboards and vocal harmonies. It's obvious—Chez knows how to deliver a big punch in the chorus. "Strip Me Down" moves with energy, and with swag, and the big guitar sound is also augmented with more keyboards. The key changes heading into the chorus, and the latter has another punchy sound. "Tongue of Love" is as risqué as the title sounds, and thick, meaty bass notes propel it forward. There is also a well-done guitar solo here that follows the song's melody. "Love Tornado" take off like a bat out of hell, and Chez reaches into the upper ranges of her voice. Guitar and keys work well together establishing the structure. "Bad Girl" has a heavy rocking sound from crispy guitars, bright keys, and bass weight, and the vocals are very expressive. She wails the chorus several times until it sticks in the back of your head.

"Street Survivor" is the "power ballad" on the album, and you 50 something people know what I am talking about. She uses several strong melodies in the song, and it's in the chorus where it's really driven home. "Too Dangerous" has heart and energy, and it's like someone lit a fire beneath it so it has to travel fast. Her vocals are stretched to the limit in this song, but they do not give in even an inch. "Body Rock" is the final song, and it's a mid-tempo rocker. Chez again goes for broke with her emotional vocals and they stay at their limit throughout the song. It's no surprise that the best part of the album is the vocals. She has a warm voice that invites you in for a bite, and she has near perfect pitch. She delivers with fire, with passion, and with confidence. Unlike some AOR music however, the music has energy and life, fueled by both key changes that keep you on your toes as well as a deep desire for music with style and substance.
