Following the award-winning "III" (2024), "Misprint" finds Black Oak County pushing both ends of their sound, more heavier, more melodic, and more direct than ever , without losing the no-nonsense hard rock core that has earned them a strong live reputation across Denmark and beyond.  Black Oak County have steadily built momentum through relentless touring and releases, earning Årets Single (Single of the Year) for "Save Your Breath" at

Den Hårde Tone 2024 and Årets Rock Single (Rock Single of the Year) for "Boom Boom Baby" at the Danish Alternative Music Awards 2025. Known for their high-energy live shows, the band will support "Misprint" with their most ambitious touring cycle yet, including their first full German headline run. "Misprint" was once again co-written, produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Nicklas Sonne (Defecto).

Heavy intense energy, with a hint of aggression is what the opening track "Kill The Pain" offers,I detect a slight Thrash Metal element in parts, the riffs are chuggy, the chorus is also a big offering."Rock N' Roll"  has a very strong riff which allows the track to grow & breathe, the chorus is a bit more melodic which is built some strong heavy melodies and verses, the vocals are strong, solid and well delivered."Vertigo" has more hints of Thrash again, but there is a groove to the melody with Niels delivering more strong aggressive vocals.Black Oak County share their vocal duties between Niels and Rene, whether that be for the full track or one sings the verses, the other the choruses."Around The Sun" is a track with shared vocals, which adds a different dynamics, some solid strong riffs again are delivered by Jack Svendsen, complete with a very strong rhythm section from Mike & Rene.At the time of writing this review "Starlight" is  the latest single from the album, which is a ballad style track, but on the heavier side, although we get a big melodic break in another track which has a strong chorus, the guitar work is solid yet again, with a subtle solo thrown into the mix to set the track up for a powerful ending.

"Fade" is another heavy track with this strong groove, the bass is in parts at the forefront of the track, mid paced until after the second verse before the tempo steps up a notch where the band deliver a faster heavier conclusion.Another track which is a heavy hitter is "Sick & Tired" which is a great album deep cut and hidden gem on "Misprint"."The Shadow" concludes the album, vocals duties are yet again shared to deliver this track which has a different feel to the former, still heavy and so very punchy, which concludes the album with energy & momentum. "Misprint" is another modern style slice from Black Oak County, who are for me one of the best modern bands in their genre. The songs are beautifully crafted, delivered and brought to the music listener with this huge ball of energy.I suspect this album will bring the band more accolades, critical acclaim and my fellow writers will receive this album with the appreciation and warmth it deserves,I absolutely can't recommend this album or band enough."Misprint" is released via Mighty Music April 10th.
