Helreidh - Fragmenta album cover

Taking their name from an old Icelandic word which means "Journey Into The Underworld", Italians progressive metallers HELREIDH release a great sophomore album in "Fragmenta". As the releases states "Fragmenta", a collection of fragments, individual stories yet to be told. And the stories of the single tracks are pretty different: songs dating back to the early phase of the band, musical ideas deriving from other projects and brand new songs, all merge together to create a sound that brings together passion, power, feeling and musical intensity", and I happen to have to agree with this statement, its music is intense and full of power, and it is obvious that the band has passion for their work.

I would highly recommend it for fans of Progressive Metal and Power Metal, as the songs sound like a classic Power Metal infused with Progressive elements especially in its use of Folkish type of influences that become evident in the song "Shades Of My Untimely Autumn", which is actually my favorite from this album.
