HIGH ON FIRE's reissue of "The Art Of Self-Defense" is as addicting as the pot they're probably smoking. Their sinister Stoner nature runs deeper than THE SWORD, grabs you more intensely than KYUSS, and won't put you in the mind-numbing state that Sleep would trap you in. "Baghdad" is a killer opening, like a highly aggressive UNCLE ACID & THE DEADBEATS tune, adding the deep tremors of Matt Pike's vocals.  Every song on here is a solid piece of stoner magic with catchy riffs ("Master Of Fists") and tunes that give the bass guitar its proper pedestal ("Fireface").  If you have not had the honor of experiencing this heavy masterpiece when it was first released, be sure to grab this re-release which also comes with a few raw demos that are sure to melt your face off.
