Oh the beautiful ambience... If only it was endless and the pleasure was everlasting, if only this album can be injected into my vein. Oh sorry, I didn't notice you all here; I was talking about "Demiurgo", the cold dark release from the Italian Black Metal project LORD AGHEROS, and what an amazing pleasure this album is.
This Ambient Black Metal entity has been alive since 2007 and been busy with 4 amazing releases. Before listening to "Demiurgo" I decided to listen to its predecessor "Of Beauty and Sadness" and I can't believe how sad, atmospheric and amazing the 2 are in similarity and content. I've always been a sucker for this subgenre in Black Metal, it has this special effect it can cast on you and so easily send you into the mood this music requires you to be in, unlike, well, a lot of other genres I won't mention which are becoming bland and pathetic.
A great aspect this album possesses is having 17 very well constructed tracks and lacks monotony while being supported various elements and effects of pure ambience. Guitars are emotional the way they're supposed to me, and everything else is there to make this album brilliant.
I avoided giving this album a clear description only because you need to listen to it to fully understand. If you're a fan of the Ambient / Atmospheric Metal genre I highly recommend this album.
