Wild Machine - II album cover

I haven't heard about WILD MACHINE before and didn't know from where they came from, but as soon as I pushed the play button I knew they came straight out of hell. I can't describe the singer's voice, and I really don't know what he is eating to scream like that. His pattern reminded me a mix of REAL STEEL's singer with BRITNY FOX's but much more extreme. I think that this is the first thing that will catch your ear when you will listen to this album.

I listened to each song and although that this kind of Glam didn't renew anything to me, it made me shiver. It was like listening to an AC/DC album with a taste for more. Their first track "Straight to Hell" is enough to give this album a 10/10. It is all what Rock N' Roll. Fast, heavy and straight to the point. The drum work is amazing and it is a part of what keeps it tight and make you bang your head. The next track "Teez Teezah" has a more Glamish direction. I can't decide if this song directs to something positive because of the verses or due to the evil like atmosphere because of the chorus. I was expecting something more interesting in the guitar solo, it didn't blew me away and I kind of heard solos like that in the past. Nonetheless, it fit the song.

"Gimme Action" is kind of HANOI ROCKS song, the regular formula of Rock N' Roll but nastier when it comes to WILD MACHINE. The track "Nasty Oild 'n' Spoild" is a low gear from the fast Hard Rock earlier on but this what gives heaviness is all about. "Dirty Motel Room" is a sleazy song with a winning chorus that will make you sing along. The tension of the guitar playing is what makes the song so magical. "Suicide" is one of the greatest songs of the album, reminded me of Gn'R of "Appetite For Destruction". This is a very fast Hard Rock song that will have your heartbeat rising up. Johny Mercedess Hott, the singer couldn't sound more evil. "Vicious Luv" took me back to the golden days of Glam Metal, a party song rhythm, it has a great vibe. The C part that takes the song to different places but except that I didn't feel that this number itched my skin.

WILD MACHINE has long history since 2000 when they struggled to survive as a band and they have come to the attention of any Rock fan. I think that they do have it and especially with such a unique vocalist that add a lot to the songs. Yet I can say that only few songs really caught my ear and it is too bad as the first song really gave me big expectations of what came next. I rate this album high than I should because I gave a listen another time to the firsts songs and respect the efforts.
