Altar Of Sin - Tales Of Carnage: First Class album cover

In the midst of the well-known European Metal scene most commonly found in France and Germany, I have often wondered why Spain has never gotten in the game. If I'm going to be studying abroad there, they better have some good Heavy Metal scene for my vacation days. I was starting to get discouraged from my endless searches for great Spanish Heavy Metal. And then I found ALTAR OF SIN.

"Tales Of Carnage: First Class" may only be their second full-length album, but its contents of hard-hitting ferocity could lead you to believe that these guys have had many years of album-producing experience. While there's not much terribly unique to the point where you could hear this track between sets at a concert and say omg this is ALTAR OF SIN, the band definitely showcases a proficient understanding of the technique behind technical Death and Black Metal.  "Master Satan" was one hell of a killer intro song; I'm pretty positive Kakarot would love one day to be the protégé of BEHEMOTH's fire-powered drummer "Inferno"."Voodoo Hell" glues together an impressive mix of Death and Black Metal, creating a lovechild born of BELPHEGOR and DYING FETUS"Hard & Extreme",while introducing itself similarly to a track off of MORBID ANGEL's most despicable record, recovers quickly allowing me to avoid any sort of mockery. This record is a valiant effort that blends in the midst of pioneering Black and Death Metal bands; I'm almost a bit afraid of this band becoming overshadowed due to the lack of Spanish Metal scene as well as the already well-established blackened Death foundation that has already been built.

PS: Boof, if you're playing music as brutal as I am hearing from this album, you might wanna consider changing up that stage name as your name makes me giggle intensely. Boof sounds more like the name of an orphaned Teletubby.
