Hands Of Doom - Headhammer album cover

HANDS OF DOOM comes from Peru and they were formed back in 1998 but only now they have released their debut album "Headhammer", having released two demos previously. They play a sort of Thrash with Black Metal influences, and listening to the release it reminded me a lot of VENOM, especially because of Daniel Doomwarrior's vocals which sounds a lot like Cronos'.

The songs are pretty much standard, standard riffs and solos, drumming and bass, it is nothing incredibly special about it, which is not to say it is bad, you can still headbang with them, but simply is uninspired and nothing special. The lyrics range from anthems ("Metal And Roll""Chrome Hell And Leather"), Attila the Hun ("Attila The Hun", wonder why they chose that title...) and, from what I could understand, tomatoes ("Hands Of Doom").

In conclusion, by no means is this a bad album, but it isn't a masterpiece either. I could still have some fun with it, but it isn't an album that will make me run away from them, but it isn't an album that will make me run to find out more about them.
