Three years on from their critically acclaimed debut album, This House We Built finally release their much anticipated sophomore album "Get Out Of The Rain". Their independently released debut album was warmly received by the media with rave reviews from Dave Ling of Classic Rock Magazine & Chris Sutton of Powerplay Magazine.The band who are from the county of Yorkshire in the UK have toured extensively, since they formed just before the lockdown of 2020, sharing the stage with bands such as Quireboys,Tyketto,Those Damn Crows and Michael Monroe.Along the way the guys have gained a loyal fan base up and down the country who were eager for new material supporting the band by contributing to a successful Crowd Funder appeal to help fund the new album.2026 is shaping up to be a busy year for This House We Built with some festival dates & also support dates already locked in.

The sound of rain & thunder intro with building guitar riffs leads in the opening track "Rain" which builds into a great modern rock track with a brilliant deep toned bass line,the track has a massive sound with a big chorus a great start to the album."Addiction" the first single has a Southern edge feel,the sliding guitar runs lead into a hard edgy stomping groove and melody with Scott Wardell's vocals which have both swagger & attitude.Vocals duties for "Broken Dreams" fall to Andy Jackson who also wrote the lyrics to this track,the chorus is catchy,the riffs are solid,the drums pound heavily throughout, a well written track which has a theme which will resonate with many.Another great modern rock track "Desires" is a track which universally is instantly likeable for all lovers of good music with a modern sound."Coming Home To You" is a ballad which is a stadium filling track,the verses,the chorus just invite you to sing a long at the top of your lungs,I love the way the band perform this track live especially at the end when they go acapella inviting the crowd into one big sing song! "Crash N' Burn" is one of the heaviest tracks on the record with heavy dense riffs,aggressive with lots of energy.The anthemic track "It's Only Rock N' Roll" is the party track of the album,a great track with an ear worm chorus,a feel good track with positivity.

"Wheels" is full of razor sharp guitar riffs,riff heavy from start to finish,with a strong vocal which has touches of late 80's rock with fresh,modern touches.The semi acoustic led  "Better Man" has a big anthemic modern feel,maybe Shinedown influenced or another big modern rock band?, with another massive chorus which has massive appeal,which deserves massive airplay."Better Man" has a Morgan Freeman (Sounds like him anyway!) narration,with vocal duties falling back to Andy Jackson who delivers a powerful vocal to another superb anthemic track,very melodic,full of emotion just amazing stuff.The album comes to an end with another ballad half acoustic with Scott Wardell's solid vocal leading the way,then the full band kicks in accompanied by some orchestral touches to bring the album to a rousing emotional ending. This House We Built delivers a superb sophomore album."Get Out Of The Rain" is superb from start to finish, well written,well performed with superb crystal clear production from Dave Boothroyd.I have seen these guys several times live,they are a class act.On the back of this album I hope that they gain more exposure,gain a bigger fan base,because I think that This House We Built are one of the best UK bands for a long time and if there's any justice they will make it big! they have massive potential.
