Pyramada - Now Is The Time album cover

Absolute Peace has nothing to do with your ear drums, and everything to do with your emotions. PYRAMADA, which the band has defined as Absolute Peace, believes in Absolute Peace, and their signature song, "Walk Away" will take you to your own PYRAMADA. Along with 9 other original songs, and one cover of THREE DOG'S NIGHT appropriately titled, "One" the album "Now Is The Time" has been waiting for no one. "One" is well covered and yet PYRAMADA brings their heavy sound to this classic tune. Listening to the PYRAMADA rendition forced me to drop into YouTube to hear the original just for kicks. Exactly what a good cover song is supposed to do, if the original was a worthy song to begin with.

The CD starts out the way I envision every show must start, with "Madman". The introduction to this song had me reaching for my lighter, finding my cell phone and raising it high in flash light mode. "Mind Abuse" not only starts out with a catchy riff, but there are also catchy lyrics, like "Do I know you? Do I know myself?". Which may speak a little to the bands multiple influences, and varied song styles? The track "Hear Me" starts off with very melodic, almost PINK FLOYD sound, rocks into a full frontal assault and ends with something reminiscent of a METALLICA ballad.

There is something that brings me back and thinking old school while listening to "Wild Child". The band is not afraid to show their range in schools of music. During the listening of "If I Should" I had to break out the air guitar and play along. When I first noticed PYRAMADA posing shows locally I did not get out to see them, and now I must wait until they surface again. With the summer behind us I hope that it would happen really soon.
