House Of Sins

This British band started to buzz around 2008 by winning a Kerrang! Contest opening for the unsigned bands, but they didn't rush too fast. The band grew and developed by playing intensively the circuit as support for veterans ALDER'S APPETITE, they also toured with Chris Holmes (ex-W.A.S.P.) and his new band WHERE ANGELS SUFFER on their recent U.K. tour, as well as storming a prestigious hot spot at the Download Festival in 2011. This solid stage expertise it's clearly showed thru their new album "House Of Sins".
Despite their generic stage nicknames and their common labeled style, this band is not your traditional bunch of peroxide androgynous and not really a Sleazy Glam Metal band either. In fact they recall me something pretty much like the Neville McDonald's SKIN era 1st album or the very early FIREHOUSE with the tarnish worn of the 90s in it, but still characterized by the big stadium chorus with huge backing vocals, good beer infused riffs with a lot of attitude and just a little sleaze in their jeopardized lyrics. Nonetheless, their material is still very ballsy as much as their playing. The guitar soloing is quite exceptional in this particular style and the sound production is strong enough to compete with most band out of the modern Hard Rock / revival Hair Metal scene.
My personal favorite tracks are "Blackstreet Romeo", "Set The Night On Fire", "Liquor Up", "Time", the GUNS N' ROSES influenced "Little Crystal"and "Coming Home". A very recommended purchase. If you ask me.
