Sandness from Italy were formed in 2008.The Italian hard rock 3 piece band have already released four studio albums and an EP.”Vertigo” was written during a time of transition where the trio found a new way of working together during the songwriting stages from their previous albums.. “This Album was born in a very special moment for us. Life changes forced us to rethink how we create music together,and that pushed us out of our comfort zone.”Vertigo” is about embracing uncertainty,but also staying true to our identity as a band” says Sandness. The album was recorded,produced,mixed and mastered by Alessandro Del Vecchio at Ivory Tears Music Studio in Italy.

“Per Aspera Ad Astra” Latin for “Rough Road For The Stars” is a solid opening track which immediately grabs my attention,a strong opener with a strong melody,riffs and the sturdy bass line,the chorus ear worm stuff which sets me up for a very promising listening.”The Match” is a more melodic modern rock track with fast tempo,catchy chorus with some great harmonic “ooh oohs” which has you singing along instantly.”Draw The Line” is a guitar led track full of energy which would make a great single with its commercial appeal.”From Zero To Hero” is a classic rock style affair which has your feet stomping & your head going from the first note,which can also be said for “Back For More” with a huge harmonic chorus. Sandness for a trio have a huge sound in abundance, with “Midnight Dance” another modern hard rock track with that instant likeability factor. Both Robby and Mark sharing vocal duties but they both sound so similar without looking at the album credits its hard to tell them apart.”Rock N Roll High” with a deep bass line intro, has some edgier riffs & guitar solo,but I think the track just doesn't grab me like the others,it lacks the punch that previous tracks have.”Not Your Dog” gives me a bit of a nostalgic sunset strip vibe with the gang bang vocals in the chorus also the bluesy crunchier guitar riffs with that raw energy & melody.”Never-ending Road” is a modern pop/ melodic rock style track which again has instant appeal,with the album signing out with “Train Of Time” another feel good anthemic melodic rock track with infectious guitar riff and runs.

“Vertigo” is a great album from Sandness ,full of catchy refreshing tracks which will appeal to everybody ,full of hard rock energy which I enjoyed from start to finish there's big choruses,big melodies and a big sound from this powerhouse trio,with a great production. Up until now I had never heard any of their material,but I must say after hearing this album I am intrigued and will be going to check out their back catalogue. A great album definitely worth checking out great stuff!
