Well, that was some fucked up evil shit. That’s it. That’s my eight-word review for ENEVELDE’s latest album, Pandemonium, released on April 8, 2025, via Terratur Possessions. And for a Black Metal album there really can be no better praise.

ENEVELDE is the brainchild of B. Kråbøl, Norweigan Black Metal multi-instrumentalist. You may also know him through his other projects including MISOTHEIST as well as very own KRÅBØL. He can also be found sitting in at times with HYPERMASS. Originally released in cassette form last year, Pandemonium is the fourth offering from ENEVELDE since its unholy inception in the year of our plague, 2020. Now available in digital format, it has become far more accessible. Good for extreme metal enthusiasts; bad for the rest of humanity. 

Pandemonium weighs in at 39 minutes with seven tracks of lo-fi wretchedness. Standout tracks include “Nigromantia” a slow-brew atmospheric number that has all the decompositional sophistication of its namesake (necromancy); “Eksilfyrste” (trans: exile prince) which features sinister riffs and some gloriously baritone vocals that resonate as both demonic and harmonic; and “Rasende Flammer” (trans: raging flames) a veritable marathon of discord and malignancy.

I guess there’s two ways of looking at ENEVELDE’s Pandemonium. You either love it for its banality and simplicity. I mean there’s not a whole lot going on here. B. Kråbøl picked line and just went straight forward. Or you can hate it for exactly the same reasons. Personally, I relish its stark and visceral assault. Black Metal purists should love this one.
