Teaser Sweet were formed in 2013 when Marcus Damberg asked his sister Therese and former bass player Christopher Cardell if they wanted to start a band. The original line up was completed by Kalle Krantz on drums. Before the band started to write their own material they originally used to play covers of Kiss songs. After Teaser Sweet recorded a demo they took to the stage,which eventually then they released three albums plus an EP “Hit & Run “ in 2015.”In The Night EP” in 2017 ,”Hypnotised” in 2018 and “Monster” in 2020.The new album “Night Stalker” saw the band secure a deal with High Roller Records.

An acoustic guitar intro starts the beginning of this album which sets an ambient mood before launching into the title track .”Night Stalker” with its solid drum rhythm & guitar riffs has a cool heavy melody,complete with a lush guitar solo a track with a horror film vibe. That horror theme continues into the next track “Deep In The Woods” which has that galloping guitar & bass classic Iron Maiden style sound complete with powerful vocals from Therese Damberg, a track that would fit on any past or present horror film soundtrack.”Living In Sin” has a classic heavy metal sound with a great chorus and guitar work,which I imagine would sound really good live. The album changes with “Blue Sky” which is a more moody bluesy feel,as close as a ballad gets on this record,classy vocals with great guitar runs & touches from Marcus Damberg ,which gains momentum towards the end of the track giving the song a powerful ending.”Eat You Alive” is a solid track both vocally and musically,instantly gets those feet tapping and that head going! “Turn Me On” is another great track which has a more melodic chorus which is catchy,musically there's plenty of great melodic hooks.”Killer Machine” is another solid offering,the melody makes me think of Dio and Priest influences,vocally Therese delivers another solid vocal.”Cold Is The The Fire” the last track on the album ,which has solid drums from Kent Svensson and a deep bass line courtesy of Hampus Steenberg give the track edge,complimented with some edgy guitar riffs bring this album to a solid conclusion.

“Night Stalker” is a very solid release from Teaser Sweet. Therese Damberg holds her own with a powerful vocal performance as good as any front woman or front man in the heavy metal world. The album also contains some great musicianship whether that be the guitars,bass or drums..A very solid release which needs to be heard and not passed upon.
