Inherited Tendencies for Self-Destruction
Embrional

Embrional has been around for a while. The band is from Poland, and belongs to the more famous death metal bands. They play a very advanced form of death metal. Morbid Angel comes to mind, but also Immolation, and sometimes Spawn of Possession and Hate. If you are into a bit of tech, progressive, death metal, you will find it here. But this album, Inherited Tendencies for Self-Destruction, is darker than their last album, Evil Dead (2019). I can't really put a finger on what it is, but maybe the production.
The first track, "Choirs of Apocalypse", is an instrumental intro, and you can hear that something sinister is coming your way. "The World Deserves Self-Destruction" confirms it, and it happens a lot on one track. Even if the speed is furious, they do rhythm changes, and getting the guitar solo really stands out. Speed is the key on this album, and they are really tight. The track "Inspiration to Slay" is proof of that, no mercy here. "Lies of God" is a track that stands out, a bit melodic, and some advanced riffs, and the clean sound on the guitar solos, work really well. And it gives you time to recover, because this album demands active listening or else, it's total chaos.
If you don't pay attention, you will miss so much. The musicianship is outstanding. And Inherited Tendencies for Self-Destruction has a lot to offer, but ...not as background music. The track "Purified by Death" has a dark atmosphere, and is a kind of heavy track (for this band). It's aggressive and has everything you could ask for and, for me, the track is one of the best on this masterpiece of the album. "Obliteration Rites" is the last track on the album. It's very rare that a band that plays at this speed and keeps it death metal, can give every track so much identity. Sure, you hear that all the tracks are Embrional tracks, but every track on the album has something new to offer. They really use their skills to the max. The album is around 37 minutes, and that is a good length. Because over time, you will find out more, and get new favorite tracks. I couldn't ask for more from a band in this genre of death metal. And even if you are new to the music, you will reflect on their skills, because they are extreme in what they do. And it works all the way.
