Lefutray - Last Breath album cover

LEFUTRAY is a band from Chile that did form in 2005. They did bring out their debut album"Frente al Fin" in 2008 and now they've made a new album "Last Breath" through DigiMetalWorld, but this one is written in English to enlarge their horizon. Their fast sound horizon, since that's what their name LEFUTRAY does mean. Suiting this Thrash / Metalcore band.

"Last Breath" is fast, brutal, mean and does know how to wrap it up and send it. Despite their name, LEFUTRAY has not only been working on producing a fast sound, since they've also managed to create a solid ground that can hold fast sounds. Sure things can always go faster, but containing structure while just focusing on being faster's much more difficult to do. But what is fast anyway? Because when I come to look at it fast has to do with perspective, the eye of the beholder. I mean, the Earth is moving pretty fast, around itself and around the sun, but we do hardly notice. However we do notice everything that we see moving or not on this fast moving Earth we're standing on.

LEFUTRAY did manage to use different ways of being fast. Meaning that "Last Breath" does contain fast drums and when they're not as fast, the guitar next to it is, same goes for the bit on the low side screaming vocals, not always that hard to follow and fast, but when vocals are slowing down, the drummer's picking up speed. Even when they all slow down, it's to build up their ways inside fast sounds again. Making this album not only sound fast and brutal, but also balanced and worked out.

"Last Breath" from LEFUTRAY contains anger, frustration and madness, but all are guided inside a heavy Thrashcore right "in your face" attitude. Not everyone can handle this kind of brutal approaches, but those who love this genre are up for a treat, simply because they do have it worked out. They are a team who do show enough skills and energy to keep this album moving the way they want it to move. Fast and catchy. My repeat button did not break down and the album seemed to grow stronger after every spin. Personally I think that LEFUTRAY made a smart move to write this album in English and make it more accessible for those who just love the approach and attitude.
