Catharsis

Before I can get to anything on this album, I have the strong urge to write about Alvaro Malta, the lead vocalist: It's true that SURU's genre is Death Metal / Gothic but the vocals have no connection to the instruments or the story line except growling parts. And there is novocaldiversity. The Instruments were great though I would have liked to hear a little bit more guitar riffs or even guitar solos. I would have considered, for the next album, to use keyboard effects to create some special sounds to a concept.
So, basically, the meaning of Catharsis is emotional cleaning or in other word: Purifying. If SURU's interpretation to "Catharsis" is writing about death and emptiness, I wouldn't agree but I can't argue with this point of view.
The Intro is unnecessary for such a simple story line about purifying through death and sadness. However, if there is catharsis than where is the end of it? Where is the beginning of this story line? It's like in a dream there's always an end and no beginning. There are no heroism acts which means there's no attempt for purifying, only sacrifice.
In conclusion, if I was SURU I would have considered on implementing a special instrumental effect and think about some vocal diversity.
