Scarlatyna - ...Till The End album cover

"...Till The End" is a re-release of the first two demos of the German band SCARLATYNA. "Scarlet Ball" and "Till the End" were released back in 1991 and 1992 respectively and are the only studio material from the band until now. In "...Till the End" those two demos are re-released but no additional material is included or any re-recording is being made. The band released also a single live album and then seized to exist.

"...Till the End" goes on for an approximately 35 minutes in length. The sound of SCARLATYNA is close to Progressive / Power Metal. The songs in this release are all mid-tempo with occasional double base drumming and elements of Thrash here and there. The first and last two songs belong to the second demo while "Wings of the Night", "Selfmade Destruction" and "The Tower" belong to the first demo.

Since we are dealing with a 1990 demo the sound quality and production are more or less moderate. The compositions are sympathetic but nothing close to get you excited. The skills of the musicians are good, while the singer doesn't manage in all different styles he tries to sing, especially the operatic singing on the first track. This compilation is just a warm up for the upcoming new album of SCARLATYNA as it stated in their Facebook page. Until then ...
