Katharsis
Hate Squad

HATE SQUAD is a display of American driven Thrash Metal with some Hardcore influences although the band is based in Hannover, Germany. They have released five full length albums and "Katharsis" comes as number six. Also, they have two EP's ("Sub Zero-The Remixes", "Pzyco!") and two demo releases ("Theater Of Hate", 1993 and "H8", 1998). So let's see what we have here.
There have been much more than just several bands playing like those guys. The music is a sort of groovy extreme Metal with a spice of new age Hardcore spreading its aggression. Other than that there is nothing special. "Katharsis" presents much similarity to the "Chaos A.D." era of SEPULTURA and older times of MACHINE HEAD. After I listened to "Katharsis", I can't say that something remained or surprised me. HATE SQUAD is just a typical Thrashcore without any kind of emotions or personal outputs. "The One", "A.P.A.B." and "Katharsis" were the best of what this album came up with.
