Heritage of Satan

ROOT is finally seeing more international recognition, some recognition they should have deserved for some time ago, not only for their talent, but for their influence all around the scene. Believe it or not, they have made a name all around the underworld. I still remember as if it was yesterday (exactly on 2002), a fourteen year old boy seeing, for his first time in life, a cover that changed his life. That was "Hell's Symphony" that appeared in front of his eyes, making more impact than any other image before. Then I read the songs' names...Holy Hell, "what a blasphemy", was my first thought, only thinking with my eyes, only hoping that it's not another Black Metal band like the rest. But then... the symphony of hell started, chilling my skin, smashing in my head through each song, each riff and each word.
Now in 2011, almost ten years from that memory, ROOT returns with another piece of good work, "Heritage Of Satan", stating the trademark that has been associated to the band through the years, blasphemy, occultism, and of course good fucking Metal. The mix of mid and fast tempos along with classic Black Metal riffs descending sometimes into a melodic vein. Those riffs will surly catch the attention of the listener. Furthermore, there is that overwhelming voice that is quite different. They have growls that are easy to understand (something very strange though) and a clean clear voice, truthfully memorable, something to thank to Big Boss, the mastermind of this band.
These kind of bands are the ones that could make you think different of hell, not only screams and over speed music, but acoustic, changing and intelligent. The material was made with a lot of effort, talent, and of course a lot of love (or hate... if you wish), making a very good return of this transcendental band, making you think that hell...could be home.
