New Horizon is the side project of Jona Tee producer, song writer multi instrumentalist ,also keyboard player with the great melodic rock giants H.E.A.T. The first New Horizon Album “Gate Of The Gods” featured ex H.E.A.T. Singer Erik Gronwall on vocals. With Erik joining Skid Row Jona Tee had big shoes to fill in replacing Erik (who has since parted company with Skid Row) to continue with the next chapter of New Horizon. Jona's mission to find a new singer led him to long time friend Nils Molin renowned of Dynazty and Amaranthe. Nils Molin heard the new material for the new album and was drawn in by what he heard and the next chapter with New Horizon starts with the sophomore album “Conquerors”

“Against The Odds” is one almighty introduction to this album from the majestic intro to the actual track itself. ”King Of Kings” refers to Jesus Christ with some great story telling which is evident throughout this album. ”Conquerors” is a collection of songs about people and past events that have effected history another perfect example of this is “Daimyo” which refers to Oda Nobunaga who united feudal Japan “Apollo” refers to the NASA moon mission, whilst ”Alexander The Great” which is an Iron Maiden cover is about the Macedonian military leader who of course created the largest empire of its time. Iron Maiden been a major influence for Jona Tee also Hammerfall and Edguy. Which is evident throughout this album the fast paced energetic melodies, with hard hitting drums from Georg Härnsten Egg some really heavy guitar riffs, not to mention the superb guitar solos and runs from guest guitarists Love Magnusson on “King Of Kings” and “Edge Of Insanity” , Daniel Johansson “Daimyo” and “Apollo” and Laucha Figueroa on “Shadow Warrior” and “Fallout War”.Nils Molin delivers some powerful, blistering vocals which fit the songs on this album ”Edge Of Insanity” a perfect example of this, his vocal range is extraordinary, also on the very impressive rendition of “Alexander The Great”. Within this album of ten tracks there is one ballad “Before The Dawn” where the lead vocals from Elize Ryd are beautiful ,emotional and powerful ,complimented superbly with Nils Molin the perfect fit for this track. 

With “Conquerors” Jona Tee has definitely upped his game with the writing, the production and also musically. Nils Molin definitely a great choice , the perfect replacement with some flawless vocals. This will be one of the best power metal/melodic albums of the year without a doubt. Jona Tee had delivered a master piece of an album which is so powerful musically and vocally, which in turn is also a history lesson told in in the form of ten great tracks with fantastic storytelling and superb song writing .A definite must have album for 2024 without a doubt.
