Crown Of Autumn - Splendours From The Dark album cover

"How can I write something about what is beyond my imagination, talent and own intelligence?" I used to ask myself that question (no...Not really), but when I heard "Splendours from the Dark", a new world opened before my eyes and I finally understand the conception of art and destruction made and written in the same soundtracks.

From The Pizza planet (I saw the movie), after a thirteen year hiatus CROWN OF AUTUMN comes back into the light, making an impact on every Metal fan who even by mistake listened to the album. It contains a mixed perfection between very catchy riffs, a harsh & clean voice duel along the songs, and the highly melodic harmony around the steady percussion coupled with Symphonic and Folk elements to create a very characteristicsound.

As the songs begin to fade in the memories of high-quality things you've heard in your life, you will find stuff like atmospheres surrounding the riffs that can be found in Symphonic Black Metal, but in a highly melodic standard, the percussion basically keeps the mid-tempo, only accelerating or slowing from time to time to harmonize the vocals with the other instruments, and cooling down the listener with the Folk phase to immerse himself in a forest land (I know it sounds cliché, but what the hell, it is what it is).

Of course, my love for Folk and Black Metal had me saying "hellothere", but after getting into it and when all was said and done; "Splendours from the Dark" is an album any fan shouldn't pass by. For all said on the above, for all you guys that have the ability to write a reaction in the box below after listening to it, for everything that would make you feel something from that kind of music, for the production, the voice, the melody, the ability to harmonize so many things in only one album, it has a meaning. The thirteen years of waiting was worth it. I can vouch for it.
